It was a blah grey day in NYC yesterday when I shot this so I felt a little black and white editing was in order to get this image presentable.
We were treated to a fantastic sunset the other night over New York Bay. Ellis Island was the gateway for over 12 million immigrants to the U.S. as the United States' busiest immigrant inspection station for over 60 years from 1892 until 1954.
