I caught this traveling carnival south of Monument Valley, just outside the tiny town of Kayenta, Arizona. Amazing how dark the sky is there. Road trip day 16. I’m on a 40+ day, 5,000+ mile #roadtrip of the western United States. #midway #milkyway
Early on in my Western U.S. Road Trip I stopped by Monument Valley just to take this photo. Monument Valley is quite the sight to see during the day as well and I enjoyed it then too but at night under the stars was what I was after. In other news... Yesterday I booked my next trip, this one will take me out of the United States for the first time since last summer. I head to Iceland for 10 days in mid July. I've never been but I hear it's a photographers dream. However I'm sure it will take some getting used to sunsets at 11:30pm and sunrises at 2am. I've got my list of stops but if you've been, please share your best recommendations.
